A hand-knotted Chinese area rug, depicting a stylized figural hunt. This rug features medallions, galloping deer or impala, riders on horses with bows and chariots with chariot drivers throughout the field and border, with Chinese characters in the square medallions. The rug has been carved along the design lines for a textural appearance. The rug is finished with overcast edges and warp fringe at either end. Unlabeled.
