Early Twentieth-Century Oak Dresser with Mirror
Item Details
An early twentieth-century oak dresser with mirror. The dresser features a rectangular mirror with an oak frame, embellished with applied carvings to the top. The mirror frame is held in curved oak brackets, which allow the mirror to be tilted to the desired angle. The brackets are attached to a back board, also made of oak with carved details. The dresser has a double bow front, with four dovetailed, bow-front drawers, fitted with brass handles and locks, and the dresser comes with its original skeleton key. The dresser rests on straight square legs fitted with casters, and the back of the mirror is marked only with a stenciled number ‘503’. Please note, the mirror and backboard section can be detached from the dresser for easier transport. This item is located on an upper floor with stairs.
