A vintage buffet by Berkey & Gay Furniture. This mahogany piece has a beveled back guard on the overhanging top surface. It has a center door with fan carved inside an arch, flanked by a deep drawer on each side.The drawers have an applied fan and scroll detail of light burlwood; the left drawer has a removable tray inside. The front has a scalloped apron and the front legs have a trumpet turning; they are connected to the back block legs with an H-stretcher. The maker’s mark is to the interior of the drawer and a pasted tag is on the back.
Matching sideboard is item 17STA059-002, matching highboy is item 17STA059-003, and matching table and chairs are item 17STA059-005.
