Antique Federal Slant Front Desk in Walnut

An antique Federal slant front desk in walnut. This piece features a rectangular top with dovetail paneling and slanting front panel with escutcheon opening to several storage compartments and petite drawers. The drop down panel creates a writing surface resting on two felt lined sliding rails. The cabinet includes four stacked drawers with dovetail joinery, escutcheons, and batwing plates with bail handles. This piece rests on bracket feet. There are no visible maker’s marks.
