A Herend porcelain figurine of Easter-Time Custom. The woman on the left wearing a blue skirt with apron and barefoot, bending forward as a young man with hat and skirt, tries to douse her with a pitcher of water as in the Hungarian Easter ‘Sprinkling’ tradition. The piece is hand decorated and marked to the underside with a blue stamp and impressed ‘HEREND’ mark. Inscribed by hand ‘5553’.
