This decorative plate features an etching of a James Wyeth original work commissioned for the Franklin Mint depicting a canon in a copse of trees with houses in the background at the Brandywine battlefield in Pennsylvania where British and colonial troops fought in 1777. The plate is presented in a book shaped velvet lined box with a certificate of authenticity and explanatory notes. The plate is marked ‘Brandywine battlefield by James Wyeth 1976 2024’ to the underside. The total approximate weight of the plate is 5.820 ozt.
