Carolyn Zimmerman was born in Walton, Indiana. She started her formal artistic training at the Cincinnati Art Academy and studied with French sculptor and painter Antoine Bourdelle as well as Madame Levy-Ginsborg in Paris. Zimmerman body of work primarily focuses on forested landscapes. Carolyn, along with her husband Carl Zimmerman, was a member of the Cincinnati School of Painters.

Condition

- fair; some discoloration to varnish; canvas board is loose in frame at upper right; light wear and abrasions to finish of frame; discoloration to frame verso; piece of hook-and-pile fastener to lower edge of frame.
