Item Details

An early 20th century Austrian Art Nouveau vide pooch with a lady’s face in profile. A vide poche is a receptacle where one can place their change or keys at the end of the day in order to not scratch the furniture. The main body is cut glass with an applied cold painted bronze bronze portrait by Franz Bergman. Visible through the back of the glass on the brass face is the word ‘Geschutz.’ below an amphora shaped mark and the shape number ‘4866’. Geschutzt roughly translates to registered trademark.
