A plaster sculpture of a female nude by James Maher. This piece depicts a seated woman with the soles of her feet together and knees out, leaning forward to rest her arms on her legs and chin in her hand. Her hair is pulled back in a bun. The plaster has been applied thickly by hand to the piece. It is signed into the woman’s left shin and appears to read ‘Maher’. Protective felt and pads have been affixed to the underside.

Condition

- plaster is coming off at the sculpture’s feet and shows signs of repair.
