After Joé Descomps Bronze Sculpture of Female Nude

A silver-tone bronze sculpture of a female nude after well-listed artist Joé Descomps (French, 1869 – 1950). The Art Deco piece depicts a nude woman kneeling, draped in fabric and blooming flowers. The in-mold artist’s signature is found on the metal base behind the woman, along with the name of the sculptor, and the die stamp foundry marks ‘R. Patrouillfa’ and ‘Edit Paris’. Mounted onto a black lacquered solid stone base with a felted underside.
