A vintage collotype reproduction print on paper titled U.S. Frigate Constitution, of 44 Guns, originally engraved by Abel Bowen (1790 – 1850). This print depicts a profile of a frigate ship at sea, with the name of the ship and printer information in plate beneath the image. To the lower edge, the print reads ‘Reproduced in collotype by The Meriden Gravure Company’. This piece is presented under glass in a black tone wood frame, with hanging wire affixed to the verso.

Condition

- edge wear to frame; toning and minor staining to print; water damage to lower margin; slightly dusty overall.
