Item Details
A hand-knotted Tekke Bokhara carpet runner. This wool rug is rendered in a palette of cranberry, ivory, emerald, black, and tan. It features a single vertical row of Tekke guls flanked on either side by partial Chemche guls over a cranberry-colored field. Framing the field are three box borders, each containing a geometric pattern. Each end of the rug features a horizontal panel containing a lattice pattern. Selvedges are overcast. Top and bottom finish with ivory cotton warp fringe. A label attached to the reverse reads "No Child Labor was involved in the production of this rug."
