A presumed first edition of Wau-bun, the ‘Early Day’ in the North-West by Juliette Augusta Magill Kinzie (1806-1870). This book features an autobiographical and historical take on Kinzie’s early pioneer life along the American Midwest, and shows a black-and-white frontispiece. It was published by Derby & Jackson in 1856 and is presented in a blind stamped hardcover with gilt lettering to the spine.
