Antique Aleksandr Fuld Russian Silver Cigarette Case and Mirrored Compact
Item Details
A pair of unique metalwork accessories. This includes an antique Russian 875 silver cigarette case by Aleksandr Fuld of Moscow, who was active from 1862-1917. It features engraved stripes, and is marked with the first kokoshnik mark that dates from 1896-1908. It is paired with an oval shaped compact with a gold toned leaf pattern to the outer edge. The center portion features a framed image of a female figure wearing a ruff collar fashionable from the mid-sixteenth to mid-seventeenth centuries. A ring of rhinestones was present at one time with only one currently remaining.
