Smith and identified on the title page as Baudelaire: His Prose and Poetry, was published in the 1930s by Random House for the Modern Library series; the volume contains complete translations of Poems in Prose and The Flowers of Evil. The book is bound in green balloon-cloth-covered boards with gilt cover decoration and has a black-and-white dust jacket with green accents and the number ‘70’ on the spine.
