Late 19th-Century Bronze Sculpture "California Gold"

A late 19th or early 20th-century bronze sculpture of a man titled California Gold. Standing in a classic contrapposto is a mustached gentlemen with a shovel at his feet and a pick axe in his hand. His clothes are worn and loose, clinging to curves of his body with defined folds with rolled sleeves and unbuttoned shirt. The work remains unsigned. Titled to the black marble plinth on which the statue stands.

Condition

- light verdigris to the finish in some areas; scratches and marks present to the marble base.
