A hand-knotted Persian Bakhtiari area rug. This wool rug features a floral medallion centered in a lozenge with a rectilinear floral motif in a palette of red, burgundy, cerulean blue, midnight blue, tan, cream and black. The primary border offers a herati pattern flanked by guard borders with a floral motif. The rug is finished with overcast selvedge edges and a cotton warp fringe at either end. Unlabeled.
