Hand-Knotted Persian Luri Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Luri area rug. This wool rug features a large geometric medallion with rosettes and anchor pendants extending into the field, in a palette of red, cream, orange, midnight blue and black. A trefoil flower pattern is prominent in the border of the medallion as well as the primary border. The primary border is flanked by a barber pole guard borders. The rug is finished with overcast selvedge edges and a wool warp fringe at either end. A tag marked ‘Iran’ is attached.
