Item Details
A watercolor and gouache painting on paper of a snow scene. This painting depicts a tall, barren tree with curling branches obscuring a dilapidated picketed fence and a stone wall fronted with a wooden door. The yard is covered in snowfall. To the lower left corner of the composition is a pair of red artist seals and an artist signature appearing to read ‘W. Toraker’. The painting is presented under glass beneath matting in a gold tone wooden frame with a sawtooth bracket to the verso for hanging.
