Circa 1885 S. Kirk & Son Coin Silver Covered Butter Dish

Item Details

A covered butter dish comprised of coin silver by S. Kirk & Son circa 1885. This piece contains acorn relief to the top with a monogram and is embossed with flowers and vines to the lid as well as the body. The lid has ruffled trim to the bottom edges and the body has two handles and claw feet. A round dish is included to the interior. The underside is etched, ‘11 OZ S. Kirk & Son’. The total approximate weight is 23.285 ozt.

Condition

- minor surface wear including faint markings and minimal tarnishing; monograms to top of piece.
