A wood engraving on paper by Timothy Cola after a painting by Sir Thomas Lawrence titled The Calmady Children. The original painting by Sir Thomas Lawrence is currently housed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and depicts the portrait of two young girls. This print is signed and dated ‘1926’ in-plate to the lower right corner. It is also signed and inscribed by hand in graphite to the lower margins. It is matted in off-white and presented behind glass in a black wooden frame with a hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- toning to mat; slight toning to print; nicks and wear throughout frame.
