Charles C. Svendsen Ink Drawing "The Well of Quintin Mastys"
Item Details
An ink drawing on paper titled The Well of Quintin Mastys by well-listed Cincinnati artist Charles C. Svendsen (1871-1959). This drawing depicts a gestural illustration of an ornate well rendered with thoughtfully sketched linework and cross-hatching. It is signed to the lower right in ink, and is titled in pencil to the lower margin. Light graphite underdrawing can be seen below the ink. The drawing is mounted to white foam core, though it has come loose from its corner brackets. It is wrapped in acetate for safekeeping.
Condition
- paper has come loose from corner brackets; minor wear to paper and mat edges.
