A limited edition lithograph on paper of children by listed Vietnamese-French artist Mai Thu (1906-1980). This print depicts a group of five children in colorful traditional Vietnamese clothing. The piece is stamped with the artist’s seal in plate in the upper right and is signed by hand in graphite to the lower right margin with another artist seal and is number 155 in an edition of 200. It is presented behind a white mat behind acrylic glass in a black metal frame without a hanging apparatus. Mai Thu was a graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts de l’Indochine in Hanoi. He lived in France the majority of his life, but retained a strong sense of devotion to his homeland and its artistic aesthetics throughout his career.

Condition

- print in good condition; joints of frame are loose; lower left corner of frame is missing brackets for attachment; tape residue on plexiglass and frame.
