An oil painting on paper titled Two Fruit by listed American artist Edgar Hatten (1929-1990), created in 1979. This work features an abstract still life of two pieces of fruit set on a side table. The work is signed to the verso of the painted paper and inscribed to the mat verso in graphite, “Ed Hatten signed verso, Two Fruit, 1979.” It is presented under a white mat and wrapped in acetate.

Edgar Hatten is known for his portrayals of abstract still-lifes and landscapes with a focus on expressing mood. He was born in Wyoming and lived most of his life in Los Angeles. He taught at Swinbourne College in Australia, East Los Angeles College, and Citrus College.
