Item Details
A set of three mid to late 20th century porcelain quails by Howard Pierce, executed in his unique brown and white glaze. The largest is stamped to bottom “Howard Pierce”. Howard Pierce, a native of Chicago Illinois trained at the art institute of Chicago and the University of Illinois, moving to southern California in 1934 where he continued his education and began producing his own ceramics in the late 1940’. He produced his own original designs up to his death in 1994.
