A contemporary hand-knotted Peshawar area rug. The rug features a large scale herati pattern of floral palmettes and vines in a palette of cream, taupe, ecru, steel grey and rose on a cerulean field with intentional abrash. The field is enclosed by a wide primary border that features a herati pattern throughout with floral palmettes and vines in a complementary palette on an ivory ground. The rug has a double overcast edge, a natural wool warp fringe, and is unmarked.
