A machine-woven area rug by Oriental Weavers from the ‘Gabbeh’ Collection. This rug has been power loomed in Egypt of heat-set olefin, in the design and colorway 33/425. It features a palmette central medallion in a palette of cream, blue, pink, and burgundy, on a burnt orange field with deliberate abrashes. It has maroon spandrels to each corner on a teal field, and a compound border with a herati design on a burnt orange ground. It has a sewn-on fringe to either end and is marked ‘Gabbeh Collection, Power Loomed by Oriental Weavers – Sphinx Division, Made in Egypt, 100% Olefin’ to the reverse.
