U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Service Dress Coat and Shirt
Item Details
A vintage U.S. Air Force military service dress coat and shirt with Lieutenant Colonel insignia. The dress coat is made of blue-gray wool, featuring silver tone metal buttons up the front. It has two flap pockets on the chest and two larger button flap pockets at the bottom. The sleeves have a darker blue stripe around the cuffs. The shoulder button-tabs also have silver star pins. The lapels have silver tone pins in the shape of ‘U.S.’ The left chest has ribbon bars including (from top left to right) Commendation Medal, Presidential Unit Citation, Gallant Unit Citation, American Campaign Medal, American Defense Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal, and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. Also included is a light blue dress shirt, labeled ‘Jos. A. Bank Traveler’ and ‘Tailored Fit – 15 1/2-33 – 100% Cotton – Made in Malaysia’.
