Hand-Knotted Persian Kashan Style Area Rug

Item Details

A hand-knotted wool Persian Kashan style area rug. The rug features a central pendant medallion worked in shades of tan, brown, faded peach, blue, and beige, and Greige on a faded peach field. The medallion is surrounded by a dense design of stylized geometric floral and foliage pattern in the same palette. Narrow guard borders infilled with small flowers on a Greige background flank a Rhodian border with a brown background. The selvedges are wrapped in brown wool and there is short cotton fringe at both ends. An attached label states ‘Made in Iran/Hand-Made’.
