An authentic copyrighted reproduction cast bronze sculpture titled Reclining Figure (Maquette For Elmwood Figure) after Henry Moore (1898 – 1986). This sculpture features the figure of a reclining nude female depicted with tubular arms and legs and soft curves, reflecting the influences of Aztec sculpture and surrealism. The piece is a reproduction of a preliminary model for the large Elmwood Figure executed in 1945 for the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan. It is presented on a rectangular marble base with a felt lining to the underside. A tag affixed to the felt reads ‘Authentic Copyrighted Reproduction Made From The Original At The Detroit Institute Of Arts Detroit, Michigan By Alva Museum Replicas Inc. New York’.
