After John Gendall Hand-Colored Intaglio Print on Paper "La Bouille"

A hand-colored intaglio print on paper with aquatint after the work La Bouille by John Gendall (1790-1865). The print depicts a group of women and children tending a field with a village by the shore in the background. The work is part of a series titled Views on the Seine published by R. Ackermann of London in 1821. Marked in plate to the lower margin with the names of the engraver, artist, publisher, and title. A graphite inscription located on the bottom right print margin reads ‘100’. Presented unmounted and without frame.

- some wear around the edges of the paper; some ink marks located on the verso.
