A vintage oversized print of Abraham Lincoln and the Emancipation Memorial. Consisting of a large isolated photographic print of the Emancipation Memorial, or Freedman’s Memorial, in Lincoln Park in Washington D.C., this powerful piece depicts a silent yet proclaiming Lincoln, with outstretched hand and the Emancipation Proclamation in the other. A kneeling, unshackled freedman looks up with newfound opportunities. It is housed in a thick, dark wood frame with a glass front. A copy of a CDV showing Lincoln and his young boy is taped to the front along with a brass plaque to the base of the frame which reads ‘Class of 1865’.
