A late Victorian, 14K tri-tone gold swallow’s nest brooch. This brooch features a couple of swallows perched atop a branch housing a nest with four eggs. The brooch is constructed of 14K gold with an 18K gold wash to the birds, while the pin back closure is made from base metal.
