Marc Chagall Hand-Pulled Lithograph "Bouquet a l'oiseau"

An original limited edition hand-pulled lithograph on paper by very well-listed Russian-American Expressionist Marc Chagall (1887-1985), titled Bouquet a l’oiseau. The expressive piece depicts a figure and bird printed in black gritty ink near a large floral bouquet; all of these elements are set against a vibrant red-orange background. This print was created as the cover for an edition of the 1960 French fine art publication Derrière le Miroir in 1969. A limited edition of of 75 signed and numbered copies were printed, and an edition of 5000 were unsigned. This is one of the original unsigned lithographs. The publication’s title has been trimmed away from the upper edge. The print is double-matted in black and white with the artist’s name and birth/death dates on a plaque to its base. It is presented behind glass in a wooden frame with a hanging wire attached to the verso.
