A Persian Serabend mir-a-boteh area rug. This wool rug is hand-knotted in a palette of cranberry, salmon, shades of blue, camel, and cream. It features a cranberry-colored field filled from end to end with small boteh motifs in salmon and midnight blue. Framing the field are six borders, including a primary serabend meander border over cream. Minor borders include meandering floral patterns. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with fine wool warp fringe. The rug is unlabeled.
