Vase with the Armorial Bearings of The Russian Federation

An ornamental porcelain vase, with a hand-painted rendering of the Russian Federation armorial bearings. This porcelain vase features a hand-painted coat of arms with a two-headed eagle adorned with double crowns holding the iconic royal regalia of a scepter in the dexter talon and an orb in the sinister. In the cartouche, St. George Martyr the Victorious, upon a white horse and slaying a dragon representing the devil. There are red and white floral and geometric accents throughout. The vase is marked ‘1851’ to the base.

Condition

Scuffs and scratches throughout, paint is worn on top.
