A museum print of Aristide Bruant Dans son Cabaret, from the original plates by influential French Post-Impressionist artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (1864-1901). The work features a portrait of Aristide Bruant (1851-1925), a singer, comedian, and cabaret owner whose rough persona is captured in this simple design. Handwritten text to the lower right advertises the nightclub, and the work is signed in plate to the lower left. Printer information is included to the left edge. It is presented under layered mats and glass, in a gold tone metal frame with hanging wire affixed to the verso. A label to the verso reads ‘ED. of 1,000, from original plates, from the museum in France’.

- toning throughout print paper; scuff marks and scratches to protective glass; rip in paper at top right corner; small punctures in center of backing board.
