Three Russian Lacquer Palekh Boxes
Item Details
A trio of three smaller hand painted Russian Palekh boxes. All of the boxes are footed, one depicts a fisherman in a boat casting a net and catching a Another shows three men, one of whom is inside a cabin structure and the third box has a three horse drawn sleigh pulling two men. All have gilt accents along the edges and when the hinged lids are open, they reveal a red lacquer interior. The village name appears on the left of the boxes and all are signed with the artists’ name in the lower right hand corner.
EBTH certifies this item is from the private collection of personal property formerly owned by Dr. Robert H. Schuller.
