An oil painting on canvas of a portrait of a woman with fruit by listed artist, Lily Harmon (1912 – 1998). This half-body portrait painting depicts a red haired woman with a white head scarf, resting at a table with a basket of fruit in front of her. It is signed and dated ‘1943’ by hand to the upper left corner. This painting is presented without glass in a wooden frame with a metal hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- wear consistent with age and use; residue present on composition; minor areas of surface abrasion with paint loss; craquelure present; minor wear throughout frame; slightly dusty.
