A watercolor and gouache painting on paper of figures, by listed Armenian-American artist Simon Samsonian (1912-2003). This work depicts the pair, an adult in red and a child with a ball in their hands, huddled together before an abstracted collection of loosely-rendered buildings. The piece is signed and dated what appears to read ‘1994’ to its lower right and is double-matted under glass in a beveled wooden frame with gold tone detailing and a wire for hanging.
