An oil copy painting on paper board after the original oil painting titled Girl With a Pearl Earring by Johannes Vermeer. This miniature painting depicts the titular girl posed in profile, who turns her head while looking forward. She emerges from a darkened background, which is accented to the margins with a rendering of tear drops and a fly. To the lower left corner of the composition is reproduction credit, as well as an artist signature appearing to read ‘Frederick Seaton’. The painting is mounted to a cobalt blue backing, which is presented under glass beneath layered matting in a gold tone wooden frame with a sawtooth bracket to the verso for hanging.
