Item Details

A mid-century oil painting on canvas board by listed American artist Carlo Nisita (1895 – 1990). The piece depicts the portrait of a smiling woman with a short bobbed 1950s hairstyle. She is depicted wearing a brown jacket over a cream blouse and sitting against a background of teal and purple light that seems to radiate from her presence. The work is signed in yellow paint to the lower right. It is coated with a layer of varnish to the center and presented unframed.

Condition

- to Fair; wear to and scratching throughout canvas surface with some areas of chipping and faint residue; discoloration to varnish; wear to edges of canvas from prior framing; no hanging hardware present.
