An abstract mixed media collage on canvas board by listed American artist Ronald Ahlstrom (1922-2012). Composed of various materials such as acrylic paint, scraps of paper, and ink, this work features large splotches of paint and overlapping pieces of paper cut into polygonal fragments, marked with erratic delineations and agitated scratches to the surface. A delineated black border encloses the dominant central area of the composition. The work is signed in ink to the lower right next to a stamp that reads ‘RGA’; ‘Untitled’ is handwritten to the verso along with the artist’s signature, medium, and dimensions of the work. The composition is presented under glass in a black metal frame.
