An oil painting on canvas titled Carnation Picker by well listed artist,Paul Blaine Henrie (American, 1932 – 1999). Paul Henri is recognized for his Modernist coastal scenes, here he depicts a solitary human figure in a brimmed hat, holding flowers and standing on a hill. The hill is abundant with red and pinks flowers and overlooks a crystal blue ocean. It is signed by hand to the lower right corner. This painting is presented in a gold tone metal frame with a hanging wire to the verso. To the verso is a hand inscribed note attributing the title and artist.
Condition
- minor marks to the upper right margin of painting; small areas of surface abrasion with paint loss; wear throughout frame’s finish discoloration and surface stains to the verso.
