Chinese Style Painted Tray

Item Details

A wooden tray painted with a Chinese-style floral design. This piece depicts a line of warmly-rendered flowers against a green and red ground, all painted to the face of a tray with beveled edges. There is a decorative yellow border around the perimeter of the piece, and a collection of calligraphic text toward the left side. There is no hardware for hanging.

- poor; severe deterioration to wood with wear to underside; major chipping loss of paint across entire piece.
