George Constant Watercolor Painting on Paper "Abstract Autumn Landscape"

A mid to late 20th-century watercolor painting on paper by well-listed New York artist George Zachary Constant (1892 – 1978) titled Abstract Autumn Landscape. The piece depicts an abstract wooded landscape with hills of colorful red and golden trees set against a deep blue sky. The work is signed ‘G Constant’ in black paint to the lower right. It is double-matted in off-white and brown and presented under acrylic glass in a simple frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- minor toning to paper and matting; wear and scratching to frame with dent at upper right; frame joints are not fully flush.
