A vintage Japanese restrike ukiyo-e woodblock print after Utagawa Hiroshige’s (歌川 広重, 1797-1858) Kanbara: Night Snow (蒲原: 夜之雪) from the series Fifty-three Stations of the Tōkaidō. The work depicts three figures making their way through heavy snow in a dusky evening. The print’s title, subtitle, and series title are printed in the upper portion and the artist’s signature and seal is reproduced in the lower left. Matted in red and housed in a gold-tone frame with a hanging wire to the verso.

- toning; slight warping to paper; frame has surface wear; paint flaking; lower left corner is separating.
