Item Details
An oil painting on canvas board of an Italian coastal villa. This Impressionist painting depicts a stone walkway aligned by Doric columns overtaken by lush foliage. This overlooks a sloped hill accented with lodges, as well as a calm expanse of water. To the lower left corner of the composition is an illegible artist signature. The painting is presented in a brass tone wooden frame featuring moulded acanthus leaf patterning and a linen liner. To the verso is affixed hanging wire and a handwritten inscription labeling this scene as an Italian coast line.

- board is slightly loose in frame; staining to linen liner; corners of frame separated.
