A mixed media collage on board by Hungarian artist Ajtai Tamás (born 1952), titled Tapasztalat No. 12 (‘Experience No. 12’). This work uses a layers of materials such as paint, found paper and twine to render a landscape-like arrangement of shapes in a palette of black and rusty yellow. Sticker lettering is scattered throughout, including a line of text reading ‘Jeux de Societe.’ This work is signed with a monogram and dated ‘2008 04-27’ toward the center of its lower edge, and is presented in a gold tone frame with hanging wire and a label noting the title and artist’s name to its verso.

Condition

- fair; tear to center of right side; backing board is stained throughout and slightly warped; wear to finish of frame.
