Frannie Saperstein Oil Portraits on Canvas Board
Item Details
A pair of oil portraits on canvas board by listed New York artist Fannie Saperstein (1896-1995). These well-blended pieces include Lady in Red, a woman dressed in bright crimson, her hair neatly groomed away from her face, as well as an untitled painting of of a man in a green collared shirt, a skeptical expression on his face. The unframed pair are signed ‘F. Saperstein’ to their lower right corners and to their versos, Lady in Red titled to the upper left corner of its verso as well, and are presented without hanging hardware.
Condition
- abrasions and damage to edges and corners of both canvas boards; mulitple scratches and abrasions to each; several areas of paint loss to each.
